When to use this guide?

You will use the Staff Job Posting Users Guide:

  • to create a posting requisition;
  • view applicants and change status;
  • and complete the recommended for hire.

The hiring matrix is a tool to help you make your hiring decision more efficient. You can use this tool to rank and score your applicants based on their experience against the required and preferred qualifications of the posting.


STAFF POSITION MANAGEMENT

Request Audit for a New Position

When to use this guide?

You will use the Request Audit for a Position Guide when a current job title does not exist or when you want to add a new regular position to your budget or organization. You must attach an organizational chart, justification memo and Job Analysis Form (JAF) to the EASY/People Admin requisition. These documents must flow through administrative approval channels before HR can audit the proposed position. All new positions must be audited by Human Resources prior to posting a vacancy.

Make sure that you are in the orange header in the EASY system.


Reclassify an Existing Position

When to use this guide?

You will use the Reclassify an Existing Position Guide to change the title of an existing position. This is done regardless whether the position has an incumbent, or not. An audit may be requested when a position’s job duties change to such an extent that the current title is no longer appropriate and a new title must be used. You must attach an organizational chart, justification memo and Job Analysis Form (JAF) to the EASY/People Admin requisition. These documents must flow through administrative approval channels before HR can audit the proposed position. All proposed reclassifications must be audited by Human Resources.

Make sure that you are in the orange header in the EASY system.


Promotion/Transfer Requisition

When to use this guide?

You will use the Promotion/Transfer Requisition Guide if an employee is moving to a higher pay grade or if there is a transfer, a lateral move to the same pay grade.

IMPORTANT: You will need to know the position number of the position the employee is being promoted/transferred to, you will start with the position they are moving to and work backwards.
