Salary Adjustment

In follow up to President Trauth’s announcement on Jun. 30, the 3% salary adjustment for eligible Texas State employees was processed. As in years past, the adjustment is tied to the performance management and salary review process. The approved salary adjustment is reflected in the Oct. 1 paycheck.

Texas State also offers other incentive programs. Learn about our Staff Performance Award Program!

Am I Eligible?

You are eligible for the 3% salary adjustment if:

  1. You are a continuing, percent-contract faculty whose employment began on or before Sep. 1, 2020, you will be eligible for the salary adjustment in accordance with normal faculty merit guidelines.
  2. You are a regular staff employee whose employment began on or before Sep. 8, 2020, and you received a rating of “merit eligible” on your 2020-2021 annual performance review.
  3. You did not have a change in your position (such as a transfer or promotion) between Jul. 1, 2021 and Sep. 1, 2021.

Additional Items to Note

If you qualified for the University Longevity Program (ULP) as of Sep. 1, 2021, your ULP increase was calculated on your new salary including the 3% salary adjustment (provided you were eligible).

The President approved the exception to normal policy wherein the 3% salary adjustment was awarded to eligible classified employees whose salaries were at or above the maximum rate for the assigned pay range for their position.
