Classification and salary benchmarks
The Compensation area conducts job audits to ensure the appropriate job title, pay grade, and FLSA status for staff positions on campus. In addition, we make recommendations for university pay plan upgrades through our benchmarking and salary survey efforts. Do you think you have an employee relations issue and are not sure how to handle it? The Employee Relations team offers various services to help you resolve workplace conflict, including consultation, facilitation, mediation, and workplace investigations. Employee reference checks
Internal and external organizations can verify the employment history of current or past employees. Common requests include potential employers, mortgage companies, and Public Service Loan Forgiveness. More details are provided in Section 12 of UPPS 04.04.03. Insurance and retirement programs
Benefits staff are available to assist employees and managers with questions related to a variety of benefits including insurance enrollment, retirement, time and leave reporting, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) absences, and other employee benefits.
