Surveys can be excellent tools for academic research, assessing progress towards institutional goals, and making decisions regarding changes to programs and services. This course will assist faculty, staff, and students with planning a survey. Participants will learn about:

• selecting an appropriate survey method

• determining what questions to ask

• identifying the target group and selecting a sample

• recruiting the sample

• encouraging responses Information will be shared about ways to obtain contact information for samples and resources available for creating online surveys.
