Jan. 29 | 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: WellCats Educational Series: Making Health and Wellness Habits Stick

Let’s face it – changing habits is hard!  We have all tried and failed to change a habit.  Even the best of intentions seems not to be enough to make positive habits stick or to stop negative habits.  In this education session, you will be led through a process of identifying a health or wellness habit that you would like to change, setting a realistic long and short term goal to adopt the habit, identifying resources that will support your goal, and strategies to overcome challenges that could derail your efforts.  Start the year on a positive note and give yourself the gift of support for your health and wellness by attending this WellCats Education Series session in January.

Feb. 12 | 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Crucial Conversations:  Asking for Support

As we all know, it is challenging to both begin and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This can feel even more difficult if you don’t have a community and close relational partners to support you. The aim of this workshop, then, is to provide attendees with strategies for seeking support from and providing quality support to family members, friends, and romantic partners.

April 8 | 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Healthy Ways to Manage Stress Through Peak Times

Presenter(s):  Katie Kainer

Working within a university setting comes with a unique set of stressors, with demands peaking at different points within the semester. In this workshop, participants will learn how to identify mental and physical indicators of stress. They will also learn techniques to manage stress both inside and outside of the workplace. Emphasis will be placed on discovering work-life balance, self-care, and university-based resources.
