Presenter(s): Catarina Dominguez, and Tabitha Williams

The purpose of higher education is to enrich our students’ minds and assist them in the career readiness process to ensure a successful transition into the workplace. However, according to several studies many employers believe college graduates are not well prepared to enter into the workforce because they lack specific soft skills and knowledge.

First and foremost, we need to outline a clear multilateral definition of what it means to be “career ready” in order for professionals in higher education to incorporate more intentional interactions with students.

Come learn more about how Texas State’s Career and Financial Education (CAFE) program is incorporating innovative methods to promote career readiness and soft skill development.
