Important Updates on Weekly N.E.W. I Sessions

HR is committed to continuing a live and interactive N.E.W. I process for our new Bobcats! In accordance with CDC guidelines of social distancing, we will be conducting our weekly N.E.W. I sessions virtually via Zoom from approximately 9 a.m. - Noon until further notice.

Here are some important steps to keep in mind:

  • It is imperative that both hiring manager and new employee register ASAP for their N.E.W. I session to make the onboarding experience as smooth as possible for all parties. Manager’s can register the N.E.W. Administration Registration Form, and the new employee can register themselves on the N.E.W. Employee Registration Form.

  • We have gone completely virtual! Watch out for emails from the N.E.W. team (listed at the bottom of page) with information and the virtual new hire packet. One of the emails will include a temporary parking permit that needs to be printed out for the new employee to be placed on their vehicle dashboard when they arrive on Monday morning.

  • Check in with your new hire and let them know where to go Monday morning (building, parking, etc.) You should have the temporary parking permits for them, so ideally they might get a parking lot welcome - with waves instead of handshakes, of course.

  • Make sure a semi-private work area is available by 9 a.m. Monday morning with capability to hear the presentation.

  • New employees will use the secure File Transfer to return required paperwork and any ongoing new employee documents as needed; they may need your help. We will send out instructions (CC’ing you) to each new employee after their N.E.W. session.
